Natalia Salinas

director

Mozart, dirigiendo a solistas nacionales e internacionales.

"The guarantee of that is undoubtedly the strong Argentine artistic presence. With Natalia Salinas [...] , for the second time in the current opera season of St. Gallen, there is a powerful young woman on the podium of the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra who, as an Argentine, knows how to play the tango in an exciting, precise, transparent, and yet mysteriously subtle way." A. Piazzolla, Opera Maria de Buenos Aires.Konzert und Theater St. Gallen Martin Preisser, Tagblatt 2022 "Natalia Salinas delivered an outstanding performance, surpassing even her triumphant presentation at the memorable opening of the Contemporary Music Concert Series at the Complex Teatral de Buenos Aires in 2019. She worked down to the smallest detail, achieved precision in her interventions, guided with absolute accuracy, and excelled in the impressive finale. We are in the presence of one of the most important conductors that our country has produced in recent times, she has risen to every challenge and demonstrated that she is destined for great things." A. Ginastera, Turbae. Argentine National Symphony OrchestraCentro Cultural Kirchner Donato Decina, deparaisoparaud 2022 "Natalia Salinas, a maestra with a growing international career but also a frequent visitor to her home country, was called to the podium. She conducted with precision and skill a program featuring central composers in the repertoire, yet not at all clichéd. (…) It is not an easy symphony to tackle due to its ensemble and interpretive challenges; however, without reaching the lightness of touch that period instruments allow, Salinas and the philharmonic orchestra achieved a convincing interpretation." Schubert's Fourth Symphony Daniel Varacalli, sobrevivientenlaciudad 2023 "Natalia Salinas' direction plays an essential role in strengthening Weill's musical qualities in Der Jasager. The composition presents conventional characteristics but with a marked vitality." K. Weill, Der Jasager, Teatro Colón Vigina Chacon, El Clarín 2023 "Natalia Salinas does a great job of conducting and offers a clear and crisp interpretation of the opera, maximizing the blending of Bizet's melodies, which, even though heard countless times, are almost rediscovered due to the chamber-like structure of the orchestra (a reduced Rossini Symphony with just fifteen musicians but truly graceful on this evening). For instance, the 'Chanson bohème' is intense in its expression but without breathless haste, and the Entr'acte from the third act of Carmen, which I hesitate to describe as anything less than sublime." M. Constant, La Tragedie de Carmen, Ancona, Italy Domenico Ciccone, Operaclick 2023 "The exquisite direction of Natalia Salinas, the exact balance between layers, the irrepressible dramatic waves, a brilliant performance of the instrumental ensemble." «The Raven » by Toshio Hosokawa - Teatro Colón Diego Fischerman - Diario Pagina12 August 2017 "Conductor Natalia Salinas assumed with solvency and wide knowledge the coordination, leading to a superlative result the performance of the orchestra, who devoted themselves with discipline and concentration to this complex programme with a result of excellence." Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina - Centro Cultural Kirchner Andrés Berretta - De paraiso para Ud. April 2024 "For the podium, maestro Natalia Salinas, with a growing international career but also a frequent visitor to her country, was called upon to conduct with neatness and dexterity a programme of composers central to the repertoire, but not at all trite. (...) Salinas and the philharmonics gave a convincing reading." Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires - Usina del Arte Daniel Varacalli Costas - Sovreviviente en la Ciudad October 2023 "The conducting was entrusted to one of the most important female conductors of recent times: Natalia Salinas. (...) The concert began with the world premiere of the Suite "Parkour" by Tomás Bordalejo (...) Once again, Natalia Salinas once again demonstrated her real ability in conducting contemporary repertoire, leading an ensemble that respected even the slightest markings of the remarkable conductor. (...) Natalia Salinas and the Estable tackled one of the virtuoso jewels of the Post-Romantic period, Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 47. An opportunity to appreciate the Maestra's worth in this repertoire." Orquesta Estable del Teatro Argentino de La Plata - Teatro Argentino Donato Decina - De paraiso para Usted November 2023 "About conductor Natalia Salinas, it must be said that she made a very good impression due to the confidence and clarity with which she translated three complex and difficult works. As a result of a careful preparation, her handling of levels was irreproachable, as well as her conceptual precision, without prejudice of some too vigorous volumes, stripped of recondite interrogations in the execution of "Orion". Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina - Centro Cultural Kirchner Carlos Ernesto Ure – Diario La Prensa December 2019 "Natalia Salinas, an internationally profiled conductor with Argentine roots, leads the musical side with great sensitivity to Piazzolla’s sonic depths. Her conducting is marked by rhythmic precision and emotional density. Salinas manages to make the ‘Tango Nuevo’ felt not just as a style, but as a state of soul — at times pulsating, desperate, then again tender and almost sacred." « Maria de Buenos Aires » by Astor Piazzolla / Horacio Ferrer.OPER KÖLN Sebastian Jacobs - Der Opernfreund May / June 2025 "In Cologne, under the direction of the young Argentine conductor Natalia Salinas, a small ensemble (...) replaces the sound of a large symphonic orchestra with chamber-like clarity, transparency, and remarkable delicacy. Salinas conducts with precision and restraint, avoiding any trace of pathos or sentimentality. (...) The strength of the production lies in its musical interpretation: beautiful, exquisitely played, and emotionally balanced. Piazzolla’s score is brought to life with nuance, depth, and a refined sense of style." « Maria de Buenos Aires » by Astor Piazzolla / Horacio Ferrer.OPER KÖLN Stefan Schmöe – Online Musik Magazin May / June 2025 "Under the direction of Natalia Salinas, the Gürzenich Orchestra delivered a pulsating rhythm, precise as clockwork.” « Maria de Buenos Aires » by Astor Piazzolla / Horacio Ferrer.OPER KÖLN Jan Sting – Kölnische Rundschau May / June 2025 “Conductor Natalia Salinas leads the Gürzenich Orchestra to a perfect tango performance.” « Maria de Buenos Aires » by Astor Piazzolla / Horacio Ferrer.OPER KÖLN live in der oper May 2025 “Natalia Salinas does a great job with the conducting and offers a limpid and clear reading of the opera, bringing out to the maximum the sound mixtures of Byzantine melodies that, although heard countless times, are almost rediscovered for the chamber structure of the orchestra.” « La Tragédie de Carmen » by Marius Constant / G.
