Mar Oliveira

tenor

"Finally, the performance of tenor Mar Oliveira in the title role must be acknowledged. His clear and luminous timbre, his sense of nuances, and the variety of colors with which he adorns his voice do full justice to this complex role, which is as demanding vocally and musically as it is dramatically. His acting brings to the character a humanity, imbued with innocence and sensitivity, that evokes genuine emotion. The animal-like cry that accompanies his death sends chills down the spine! He should also be commended for the physical performance required to sing a large part of his role on his knees."

RESEÑAS

“I note the exceptional quality of a tenor like Mar Oliveira (Lensky's aria from Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, interpreted by him, demonstrated musicality, beauty of timbre, mastery of all difficulties; his Duke of Mantua was even better).” Revista Concerto Jorge Coli, December 22, 2015 "Mar Oliveira embodied the most touching Dwarf one could imagine. The flexibility of his phrasing, the astonishing power he possesses to nuance with perfect musicality, his acting skills (the character demanded that he sing on his knees!) fully deserved the enthusiastic applause of the audience. He was convincing, moving, and poignant." Der Zwerg (A. Zemlinsky) Jorge Coli, August 24, 2016 Revista Concerto "Finally, the performance of tenor Mar Oliveira in the title role must be acknowledged.
