Brazilian soprano Manuela Korossy is acclaimed for her rich vocal tone and remarkable artistic maturity. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Voice at the Juilliard School’s Institute for Vocal Arts, after transferring from the University of Brasília. She also studied at the Escola de Música de Brasília.
In 2022, she was selected for an extension program at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, where she trained under legendary soprano Éva Marton. That same year, she made her operatic debut as Micaëla in Carmen, in a production with the Cláudio Santoro National Theater Symphony Orchestra.
Her stage credits include the Spirit of Music in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Cio-Cio San in a concert version of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, performed in Italy in 2024. As a recitalist, she has appeared at prestigious venues throughout Brazil, such as Sala Cecília Meireles (Rio de Janeiro), Teatro J. Safra (São Paulo), Theatro Municipal de Uberlândia, Centro Cultural Ibero-Americano, Casa Thomas Jefferson, and the Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro (Brasília).
She also toured nationally with the Gomes and Verdi Concerto alongside tenor Thiago Arancam, and has performed with the OSTNCS and the Youth Orchestra of the Brazilian Institute of Music and Education (IBME).
Manuela currently studies with bass-baritone Kevin Short and coaches with pianist Kenneth Merrill. She has participated in artistic residencies led by mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves and tenor Lawrence Brownlee, received acting training with Anne Shikany and John Giampetro, and completed a theater program with the Mapati company in Brasília.
