Awarded in major Brazilian singing competitions such as the Maria Callas, Joaquina Lapinha, Carlos Gomes, Linus Lerner, and Natercia Lopes contests, Lucas Melo stands out for his vocal power, dramatic expressiveness, and artistic versatility.
Renowned for memorable performances in the operatic repertoire, he has portrayed intense roles such as Canio (I Pagliacci), Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana), and Don José (Carmen). He has also appeared in productions of Brazilian operas such as A Compadecida by José Siqueira and Leonor by Euclides Fonseca, contributing to the promotion of national operatic works.
In the symphonic repertoire, he has shone in monumental works such as Mozart’s Requiem and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, performing them with technical precision and artistic sensitivity.
A protégé of soprano Amarílis de Rebuá, he began his vocal studies at the Pernambuco Conservatory of Music and later graduated in Classical Singing from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), deepening his vocal and artistic training.
